Unfortunately the quality of the various asbestos consultancies and the individuals employed by them varies to an enormous extent. Whilst UKAS accreditation does go some way to ensuring that a company is proficient, surveys could be undertaken by individuals with as little as 6 months’ experience. It is, therefore, not surprising that the quality of some asbestos surveys or the reports produced ranges from mediocre to poor.
Third party auditing is a valuable method for ensuring that a high quality service is provided and ultimately that no-one is accidentally exposed to asbestos.
Our audits are conducted electronically on site to check for compliance with HSE guidance and legislation and the report is available within 24 hours which enables correction and preventative actions to be raised and implemented.
